Job Summary
- The Barman is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests while ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining bar cleanliness, and supporting the profitability of the bar operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Attend to guests promptly and professionally.
- Recommend beverages and promote bar specials to customers.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Monitor beverage inventory and report shortages to management.
- Receive and properly store bar supplies and stock.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and process guest payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and stock movements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Prevent wastage, breakages, and unauthorized use of bar stock.
- Assist in stock-taking and inventory reconciliation.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of SSCE, OND, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Barman in a hotel, bar, lounge, restaurant, or hospitality establishment.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation and beverage service is an added advantage.
- Training or certification in food and beverage service will be an added advantage.

- Ensure meals are prepared according to approved recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation before service.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items to prevent spoilage.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
