HIAB Driver
Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious HIAB Driver to operate lorry-mounted cranes and transport heavy materials efficiently.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for both driving heavy-duty vehicles and operating the hydraulic crane for loading, unloading, and positioning goods at designated locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HIAB (lorry-mounted crane) to lift, move, and position heavy materials
- Drive heavy goods vehicles (HGV) to transport materials to and from project sites
- Ensure all loads are properly secured before transportation
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and crane inspections
- Perform basic maintenance checks and report faults promptly
- Comply with all traffic regulations and workplace health & safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and inspection reports
- Coordinate with site personnel during loading and offloading operations
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a HIAB or similar lorry-mounted crane
- Valid driver’s license
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices
- Ability to operate lifting equipment safely and efficiently
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
