Cost Accountant (Factory Operations)

- We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team and support our factory operations through robust cost control, fixed asset management, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production costs across slaughtering, processing, packaging, and distribution operations.
- Investigate variances between standard and actual costs, including materials, labour, utilities, and overheads.
- Partner with Engineering and Production teams to review maintenance, energy, and operational costs
- Manage fixed asset accounting processes, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and asset verification exercises.
- Prepare cost reports, gross margin analysis, SKU profitability reports, and landed cost calculations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, inventory reconciliation, and audit activities.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency improvements across the business.s
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or Factory Finance, preferably within FMCG
- Strong understanding of product costing, BOMs, inventory controls, and manufacturing overheads
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as Navision, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Strong analytical, reporting, and business partnering skills
