College Librarian
What Will the College Librarian Do?
The College Librarian will administer the college library.
The successful candidate will also supervise library services across all teaching units, so the role requires library leadership, sound human relations and the ability to support academic work through library services.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with a Master’s in Library and Information Science from a recognised place of learning.
- They must also have at least 15 years of cognate experience and registration with a professional library body.
- A candidate with a PhD and at least 12 years of cognate experience is also acceptable
- Candidates must show proficiency in ICT.
- They must also have sound human relations, as well as evidence of substantial contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publications.
- Candidates must not be above 59 years of age at the time of appointment.
