AC Specialist
Job Summary
The AC Specialist is responsible for HVAC installation and HVAC vendor management. The role will have key responsibilities that will include management and decision-making on day-to-day activities and overseeing assigned vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Vendor Management team to plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules on AC/HVAC system in assigned region.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities of AC/HVAC systems (split, package, central, VRF/VRV) by O&M Vendors, ensuring Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), due dates, and all specifications are strictly adhered to.
- Conduct spot-checks inspections and job completion assessments. Supervise end-to-end maintenance (Corrective and Preventive) schedule and activities, testing and quality assurance of company’s owned electrical equipment in assigned clusters
- Lead, train, and monitor O&M Vendor’s technicians to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to standards.
- Diagnose complex faults and provide technical guidance for repairs.
- Ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and minimal downtime.
- Monitor and control maintenance costs, spare parts usage, and inventory.
- Prepare maintenance reports, performance metrics, and documentation.
- Operational reports including product and personnel performance as it relates to HVAC systems.
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of maintenance staff; monitor and guide team to complete necessary work schedules.
- Implement point-point wiring diagrams and select components for company-built control panels.
- Contribute to the development of company policies and oversight procedures to ensure that the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Regional Site Managers on all matters pertaining to job area.
- Provide strategic input to the business to ensure that the business strategy and the supporting functional strategies are well thought through, clearly articulated and regularly monitored.
- Ensure that the Company’s Health, Safety and Environment policies are always complied with and that Health, Safety and Environment is an integral part of all work practices
- Manage relationships with Customers, partners and vendors.
- Identify and be responsible for potential major risks, highlighting any potential concerns in an appropriate and timely manner. For identified risks, prioritise and ensure that a robust action plan, with monitoring, is put in place.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Regional Site Manager.
Qualification/Skills Requirement:
- 5 years of cognate experience.
- Good understanding of renewable energy (solar)
- Technical capacity, problem-solving/analysis skills.
- Communication Proficiency
- Toughness and collaboration skills.
- Project Management skill.
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
