Personal Assistant & Property Manager
A UK based private employer is looking for a trustworthy, proactive, and self-motivated individual to serve as Personal Assistant and Property Manager, based in Benin City, Edo State.
This is a part-time, flexible role. There are no fixed daily office hours. You manage your own schedule around your duties. Most months the workload is between 5 and 15 working days. When the employer visits Nigeria, the role becomes fully active and you are expected to be available and on the ground throughout that period.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting regular inspections of landed properties across multiple community areas within Benin City and submitting photographic reports after each visit
- Full caretaking of a residential property, including tenant liaison, maintenance coordination, and contractor supervision
- Ensuring the property is maintained and prepared to a high standard at all times
- Running errands and carrying out ad hoc tasks as directed by the employer, often at short notice
- Submitting detailed written weekly and monthly reports with supporting photographic evidence
- Community liaison across property areas, including engagement with community leaders where necessary
- Supporting property acquisition due diligence when required
- Maintaining a property register, financial records, and contact network for all managed properties
Requirements
- Must hold a current, valid Nigerian driver’s licence — this is non-negotiable
- Must have a reliable smartphone capable of sending photos, videos, and WhatsApp messages
- Must be based in Benin City or have thorough knowledge of the city and its communities
- Must be literate in English with the ability to write clear reports
- Must be honest, trustworthy, and discreet — two verifiable references and a guarantor are required before appointment
- Must be capable of working independently without requiring constant supervision or reminders
- Must provide NIN, passport photograph, and residential address before commencement
- Prior experience in property management, caretaking, estate supervision, or a personal assistant role is an advantage but not essential
Salary and Benefits
- Base salary: NGN 125,000 per month, paid in full regardless of quieter months
- Monthly transport allowance paid on top of salary
- Accommodation benefit: use of the visitor’s accommodation within the managed property during periods when the employer is not in Nigeria
- Annual salary review with commitment to increase
- Additional compensation for months where workload exceeds the standard threshold
