Key Job Responsibilities
- Financial Compilation & Quality Assurance:Rigorously compile, verify, and conduct quality checks on all project receipts, invoices, and expense reports to guarantee 100% audit readiness.
- Budget Management:Collate and manage the monthly project budget, track expenditures against project milestones, and conduct timely variance analysis.
- Complex Financial Calculations:Calculate and prepare all project financials, with specific responsibility for the accurate preparation and processing of DEG call notices.
- International Compliance & Reporting:Ensure all financial practices align strictly with international donor standards and IFRS, preparing comprehensive financial statements for management and stakeholders.
- Risk & Forex Management:Monitor currency exchange impacts and manage financial risks associated with cross-border project operations and procurement.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Professional Certification: The candidate must be a Chartered Accountant with an active ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) certification.
- Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or higher in Accounting.
- Relevant Experience: Proven track record in project accounting, particularly managing finances for large-scale international or donor-funded projects.
- Technical & Software Skills: Deep understanding of IFRS and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) toolsfor financial data analysis, automation, and reporting.

Core Responsibilities
- Production Tracking: Record, track, and verify daily manufacturing metrics, including batch sizes, yield percentages, packaging counts, and equipment downtime.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Log data related to critical control points (CCPs), temperature logs, and sanitation checks to ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP standards.
- Inventory Management: Update Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and databases with raw material usage, ingredient stock levels, and finished goods inventory.
- Reporting: Generate recurring performance dashboards and variance reports comparing actual production against the day’s production schedule.
- Data Auditing: Perform data entry audits to reconcile discrepancies in product weight, ingredients, and packaging materials.
Key Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with data management software (e.g., MS Excel, SQL) and familiarity with ERP
- Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of food manufacturing environments, including safety and hygiene protocols.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and the ability to communicate technical data clearly to the production teams.
