Fleet Officer

  • The Fleet Officer will be responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, compliance, and safety of all company vehicles. The role ensures that fleet operations align with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and cost-effective practices while maintaining high standards of safety and accountability.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure vehicle documentation including registration, licensing, insurance, and permits are valid and distribute to users directly or through their managers/ supervisors.
  • Ensure timely renewal of all vehicle papers and registration of new vehicles to prevent penalties or sanctions.
  • Update vehicle schedule and ensure accurate record (showing user, registration number, department, location, engine number, chasis number, purchase price, previous user, Date allocated and date purchase)
  • Ensure full compliance with Federal Road Safety regulations and other statutory requirements and build appropriate relationship
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and claims history.
  • Assign, Allocate and re-allocate vehicle to users
  • Conduct quarterly inspections of all official vehicles to ensure roadworthiness compliance and maintain records.
  • Screen and assess drivers before onboarding to ensure competence and compliance.
  • Address and resolve driver-related issues, including traffic offenses and disputes.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in fleet management or a similar role.
