Executive Office Analyst (Graduate Trainee)

Role Purpose

We are seeking an exceptionally intelligent, organized, and ambitious young professional to join our team as an Executive Office Analyst. This role is a high-intensity, fast-track apprenticeship designed to accelerate the development of a future leader. Working directly with the CEO, you will provide critical analytical and operational support across consulting assignments, investment projects, board responsibilities, and strategic initiatives.

This is not a traditional administrative role; it requires a proactive “force multiplier” who can manage operational workflows while contributing substantive research and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analysis & Research (40%)

  • Conduct market, sector, regulatory, and policy research within emerging economies.
  • Draft high-impact briefing notes, executive summaries, and research reports.
  • Support business development by tracking funding opportunities, grants, and partnership pipelines.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to support active consulting deliverables.

Executive Office Management (25%)

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, prioritize strategic tasks, and track action items.
  • Draft professional correspondence, executive letters, and high-level communications.
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems and project documentation with strict confidentiality.

Project Coordination (20%)

  • Track project milestones, maintain workplans, and monitor deliverables.
  • Coordinate follow-ups with clients, independent consultants, and institutional partners.
  • Support Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) assignments and stakeholder reporting.

Presentation & Communication Support (15%)

  • Develop design-forward, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assist with thought leadership content, reports, and brief briefing documents.
  • Support event planning and high-level stakeholder communications.

Person Specification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Minimum Second Class Upper / 2:1) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, International Relations, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Experience: 0–2 years post-NYSC experience. Prior internship experience in professional services is a strong advantage.
  • Essential Skills: Impeccable written and spoken English; advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; strong analytical capability and sharp attention to detail.
  • Highly Desirable: Experience utilizing AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude); basic data analysis or proposal writing skills; familiarity with Canva.
  • Attributes: Resourceful, intellectually curious, highly self-motivated, and capable of handling sensitive, confidential data with discretion.
