Job Summary
To provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for staff, Management, visitors, and official materials while ensuring that assigned vehicles are properly maintained and operated in compliance with the Bank’s policies, road safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Bank staff, Management, and visitors safely and courteously to official destinations.
- Transport official documents, cashless banking materials, equipment, and other approved items as directed.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
- Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and presentable at all times.
- Monitor fuel levels, engine oil, coolant, tyres, battery, and other vehicle components.
- Promptly report mechanical faults, accidents, or damages to the appropriate officer.
- Ensure routine servicing and preventive maintenance are carried out according to schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movement, mileage, fuel consumption, servicing, and repairs.
- Ensure all vehicle documents (Driver’s Licence, Insurance, Roadworthiness Certificate, Vehicle Licence, Hackney Permit where applicable, etc.) remain valid and are renewed before expiry.
- Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and the Bank’s transport policies.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding official assignments and information obtained during the course of duty.
- Support logistics and administrative activities when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC).
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant driving experience in a reputable organization.
- Defensive driving certification will be an added advantage.
