Civil Engineer
Job Summary
- The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, supervision, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects.
- The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
- Applicants must possess a minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering and construction project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and oversee construction and infrastructure projects.
- Supervise site activities and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource utilization.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction-related challenges.
- Support project planning, procurement, and contract administration.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years’ relevant professional experience in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure development.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, site supervision, and construction management.
- Registration with COREN is required.
- Membership of NSE or other relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications in Project Management, HSE, or related fields will be an advantage.
