Quality Control Engineer – MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)
Job Summary
- The Quality Control Engineer – MEP will be responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are executed in strict compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- This role is strictly focused on MEP systems and requires strong hands-on site experience in installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections on HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection installations
- Ensure all works comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Review and verify material submittals against technical requirements
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow through on corrective actions
- Monitor testing and commissioning processes for all MEP systems
- Maintain accurate quality control documentation and inspection records
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and site engineers on quality-related issues
- Support project handover processes, including snag list identification and resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in MEP construction projects
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications
- Solid understanding of inspection processes and quality documentation procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
