Manager Aircraft Cabin & IFE
Basic Functions
- The manager Aircraft Cabin and IFE Maintenance is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and oversight of all maintenance activities related to aircraft cabin interiors and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems across Air Peace’s fleet. This role ensures the highest standards of safety ,reliability, passenger comfort , and regulatory compliance in line with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority , Major regulators’ and Air Peace procedures . The position reports to the Head of Maintenance .

Qualifications &Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree ( or equivalent) in aeronautical/mechanical/electrical engineering or Diploma in Aviation Maintenance with ICAO type II licenses
- Experience : Minimum 10 years in Aircraft Maintenance with at least 5 years in a supervisory/Managerial role focused on Cabin and IFE systems.
- Strong experience on Narrow body/wide body aircraft (Boeing 737,777,etc.)
- Certifications: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer ( AME) License with relevant category rating ( Airframe and Avionics preferred ).
- IFE/Cabin systems specific training (e.g, Thales, Panasonic, Collins Aerospace) is an advantage )
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of cabin structures ,materials, composites,, and IFE hardware /software systems, proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, electronics, and mechanical cabin systems .
- Soft Skills : Strong leadership ,problem-solving ,communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 aviation environment.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead, supervise, and develop the Cabin and IFE Maintenance teams. Monitor their performance to deliver excellent passenger experience through reliable cabin system and entertainment.
- Maintenance Planning & Execution: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for cabin interiors( seats, galleys, lavatories, carpets, panels, lighting ,etc.) and IFE systems (screens, servers, wiring, software, audio/video distribution).Ensure timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance ,repair and modification .Compliance & Safety : Ensure all work complies with NCAA regulations ,OEM manuals ,Air Peace Maintenance Procedures and International standards (e.g., EASA/FAA where applicable .Maintain airworthiness of cabin and IFE components.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks on cabin and IFE maintenance activities .Manage defect rectification, troubleshooting, and testing of systems.
- Resource Manangement : Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and equipment for cabin /IFE maintenance .Coordinate with suppliers, workshops, and third-party MROs for repair /overhauls.
- Budget and Cost Control : Prepare and manage the departmental budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety and quality.
- Documentation & Reporting : Ensure accurate maintenance records, logbooks, and technical documentations .Provide reports on systems reliability, recurring defects ,and performance metrics to senior management .
- Collaboration: work closely with the Head of Maintenance , Line/Maintenance Control /Base Maintenance, Technical services, Planning ,Flight Operations, and Cabin Crew to resolve issues and improve passenger experience .
- Training& Development : Identfy training needs and ensure team members receive required certifications and recurrent training on cabin /IFE systems.
