Job Summary

• We’re looking for a motivated NYSC Chemistry graduate to support our Lab Chemist and Product Executive Officer.
• You’ll get hands-on experience in cosmetic & personal care product testing, formulation support, and lab operations.
• This is a great PPA for a Corper who wants to build a career in FMCG, beauty, or pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Support Assist the Chemist with sample preparation, weighing, measuring, and mixing of raw materials
• Carry out routine QC tests: pH, viscosity, specific gravity, color, odor, and stability checks
• Documentation & Record Keeping Update batch records, lab notebooks, COA templates, and test logs accurately
• Label, store, and track samples for stability and retention per NAFDAC requirements
• Product Development Assistance Support the Product Executive Officer during pilot trials and new product formulations Help with material requisition, equipment cleaning, and lab housekeeping
• Compliance & Safety Follow GMP, lab safety protocols, PPE use, and chemical handling procedures
• Ensure the lab is clean, organized, and audit-ready at all timesReporting Flag any abnormal test results or product defects to the Chemist immediately
• Assist with compiling weekly/monthly lab activity reports

Requirements

• Status: Must be a serving NYSC Corps Member with a PPA letter available for posting
•  Education: BSc/HND in Chemistry with 2.1
• Skills: Basic lab techniques, attention to detail, good record-keeping, and computer literacy – Excel, Word
• Attributes: Curious, fast learner, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced lab environment.

Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for researching and developing new product processes and making modifications to existing products to improve overall performance,efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Generating ideas for new products and researching feasibility in terms of profitability, resource availability and compliance with regulations.
• Formulating new products and liaising with engineering, research, technical and/or production staff.
• Planning, organising and overseeing process or production trials.
• Making improvements or modifications to current product processes.
• Problem Solving Skill.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the FMCG.
• He/She must be proficient in the use of MS office software & Social Media handles.
• Must be working as a Chemist or in equivalent position.
