Key Responsibilities

  • Provide rapid emergency medical care and life support in pre-hospital and in-hospital settings.
  • Assess patients’ conditions and determine appropriate treatment.
  • Perform CPR, wound care, bleeding control, airway management, and patient stabilization.
  • Safely transport patients when required and communicate effectively with doctors and nurses.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all assessments, treatments, and responses.
  • Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are always functional and ready for use.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness and drills within the hospital.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certification in Paramedics / Paramedical Technology.
  • Valid practicing license where applicable.
  • 1–2 years practical experience in emergency or pre-hospital care (added advantage).
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and highly professional.

Job Summary

  • The Peri-Operative Nurse will support surgical procedures by providing high-quality nursing care before, during, and after operations.
  • The role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure the availability of required instruments and equipment
  • Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition throughout the perioperative phase
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, including patient assessment, documentationand recovery support
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards
  • Maintain accurate surgical records and adhere to safety and quality protocols
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to improve workflow and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license.
  • Certification or formal training in perioperative nursing is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Previous experience in surgical or theatre nursing settings
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniquesand operating room (OR)protocols
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
