Forklift Electrician

Purpose

  • To ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems on forklifts and other lifting equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The Job 

  • Troubleshoot, test, maintain, and repair electrical faults on forklifts, motorized pallet trucks, scissor lifts, cranes, and other lifting equipment.
  • Participate in the installation ad commissioning of new electrical equipment in the factory and warehouse.
  • Carry out routine preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic systems of lifting equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and required repairs.
  • Diagnose breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Monitor and confirm meter readings where applicable.
  • Identify potential electrical hazards and recommend corrective measures such as relocation or replacement.
  • Provide support during electrical or utility-related emergencies within the facility.
  • Maintain electrical spares and ensure timely escalation for replenishment when stock levels are low.

Qualifications

  • 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
  • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.

​Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in electrical maintenance of forklifts or similar equipment.

The Person Must​:

  • Have good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Be detail-oriented with high level of accuracy.
  • Possess good knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices.

Method of Application

PURPOSE

To ensure efficient operation of pasta production lines in order to achieve targeted output while maintaining high product quality and minimizing downtime.

THE JOB

  • Operate and monitor process lines in line with established SOPs (start-up, operation, shutdown).
  • Control process parameters to ensure optimal production performance.
  • Maintain FIFO for raw materials during processing.
  • Execute production schedules and follow instructions from Shift Supervisors.
  • Identify and resolve process issues, working closely with maintenance teams.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of process equipment in line with best practices.
  • Report breakdowns promptly and support quick resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Support planned preventive maintenance activities as required.
  • Monitor product quality at various stages and escalate deviations immediately.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of raw materials to minimize waste and losses.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.

THE PERSON MUST 

  • Be a strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Be physically fit and able to work in a production environment.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Be proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATION
