Job Summary 

We are looking for a passionate and professional Finance Officer to join our Inbound Logistics team and assist in the sorting out of vendor invoices and processing of customs duty payments. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and sorting vendor invoices and processing customs duty payments. 
  • Reconciliation of the statement of accounts with shipping and terminal companies.
  • Timely processing of reimbursements.
  • Keeping records of business transactions and accounting records.
  • Timely processing and follow-up of refunds from shipping and port terminal companies.
  • Accurate rendering of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Reconciliation of empty container templates.
  • Processing of customs duty payments and uploading to the SharePoint platform.
  • Ability to analyze statements of account, financial statements, and interpret ratios.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting or related discipline.
  • Relevant professional accounting qualifications such as. ACA, ACCA.
  • Minimum of 3 – 9 years of relevant work experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of finance best practices, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards
  • Good knowledge of Consolidation
  • Working knowledge of accounting packages and systems, including SAP
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Job Summary

The Storekeeper (Molasses/Raw Sugar Warehouses) is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of bulk agricultural materials, ensuring quality preservation, loss prevention, and accurate stock control. The role oversees bulk material discharge, storage, environmental monitoring, sampling, and maintaining food-safety-compliant conditions within sugar and molasses storage facilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Bulk Raw Material Handling

  • Supervise the discharge of raw sugar from ships, barges, trucks, or conveyors into silos, sheds, or warehouses.
  • Oversee pumping and transfer of molasses into tanks, ensuring safe handling procedures.
  • Monitor silo, tank, and warehouse capacity to prevent overfilling.

Quality & Environmental Monitoring

  • Conduct daily checks on humidity, temperature, moisture levels, and warehouse environmental conditions.
  • Identify early signs of sugar caking, contamination, or molasses viscosity changes.
  • Work with the Quality/Lab team to take composite samples for Brix, purity, and contamination checks.

Documentation & Stock Control

  • Ensure accurate entries of incoming materials, transfers, and daily stock balances using SAP and physical logs.
  • Maintain batch traceability, stock rotation, and availability records.

Food Safety & Sanitation

  • Maintain a clean, pest-free environment in compliance with HACCP, GHP, and food safety standards.
  • Record sanitation activities and escalate any infestation risks immediately.
  • Implement safety practices for working at heights (silos) and dusty storage environments.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate with production, planning, and quality teams to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor the functionality of pumps, valves, hatches, conveyors, and storage equipment.
  • Report breakdowns or technical issues promptly to maintenance.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Academic Qualification

  • BSc or HND in:
    • Basic Sciences
    • Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial)
    • Accounting
    • Agriculture
    • Any related field

Experience

  • 2–5 years experience in warehousing, preferably in:
    • FMCG
    • Bulk material handling
    • Food/Agri-processing
    • Silo or tank farm operations

Professional Certifications (Added Advantage)

  • HACCP or Food Safety certification
  • OSHA or industrial safety training

Technical Competencies

  • Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems
  • Ability to operate or supervise:
    • Silo systems
    • Pumps and transfer lines
    • Moisture gauges
    • Temperature and humidity monitoring equipment
  • Understanding of contamination risks in bulk sugar and molasses
