Job Summary

• The Head of Finance is responsible for managing the organization’s financial strategy, daily operations, and regulatory compliance.
• He/She willact as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board, balancing long-term growth objectives with internal financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Strategy: Develop and monitor corporate strategies, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling to support growth.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports for the executive team and board of directors.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the company adheres to local tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP) while mitigating financial and operational risks.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage the finance and accounting team, including accountants and financial analysts.
• Process Optimization: Implement and upgrade financial policies, internal controls, and accounting software to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with several years in a senior leadership or management capacity.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance principles and hands-on proficiency with modern accounting and ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or advanced Excel modeling).
• Exceptional strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and communication skills for stakeholder and board-level presentations.
