Electrical Engineer
Job Summary
- The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, documentation, coordination, and execution of electrical systems across projects.
- The role requires a blend of technical design expertise and hands-on site supervision, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, in compliance with standards, and within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical system layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical documentation for electrical works
- Oversee on-site installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Manage power distribution systems, lighting, earthing, and building electrical services
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Supervise technicians and junior engineers to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and best practices
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in electrical engineering projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design tools
- Solid experience in BOQ preparation and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience in electrical installations and site supervision
- Strong knowledge of power systems, lighting, earthing, and electrical infrastructure
- Ability to manage both office-based design and on-site execution
