Chief Executive Officer
Description
- Our client wants to hire Chief Executive Officer.
- The CEO is expected to be active in the field — engaging government counterparts, closing contracts, and managing the Board relationship.
Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership:
- Close and execute contracts, including framework agreements and project-level engagements across multiple client tiers.
- Work in close operational alignment with the CCO to ensure MDA access converts into signed contracts and cash receipts.
- Maintain a live, qualified pipeline and present monthly pipeline and cash-receipt reports to the Board.
Operational Leadership:
- Ensure all executive and operational roles are performing against their individual KPI frameworks.
- Maintain a 24-hour response commitment for any Board-triggered governance or operational issue.
- Drive product velocity in partnership with the CTO.
Institutional Relationship Management
- Represent the company as its primary institutional face at Director-General, Permanent Secretary, and ministerial level.
- Build and maintain the government relationships required to sustain multi-year, multi-contract client relationships — not one-off project engagements.
Board Governance and Reporting:
- Attend all Board meetings and submit the required monthly report — including commercial performance, capital deployment, and pipeline data
- Ensure the Company operates in full compliance with CAMA 2020, NCCG 2018, PITA, PenCom, NSITF, and all applicable Nigerian regulatory frameworks.
Executive Team Management:
- Hold direct accountability for the performance of the CTO and CCO — reviewing their individual KPI frameworks monthly and escalating underperformance to the Board.
- Commission and maintain Role Continuity Documents for each C-suite position within 30 days of commencement.
Requirements
- A Degree in Technology & MBA is mandatory with 10 years progressive professional experience, with at least 3 in a C-suite or leadership role carrying direct revenue accountability.
- Experience in government technology, digital transformation, or SaaS businesses targeting public sector clients in Africa.
- Prior role in a public-private partnership
- Demonstrated track record of closing government contracts in Nigeria — at federal or state MDA level.
- Experience of operating within a Board-governed company — Board meetings, executive reports, & operating within a delegation of authority.
- Fluent in English — written and verbal — to institutional presentation standard.
Remuneration
Commission closed contracts, governed by the company’s C-Suite Compensation Framework.
