Business Development Manager
Job Summary
- Our client is seeking a results-driven and experienced candidates to lead the business development team, drive revenue growth, and expand the bank’s customer base.
- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the business development team, and expanding the bank’s market presence.
- The ideal candidate must have an existing portfolio, be highly target-driven, and possess strong leadership abilities to drive both individual and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the business development team to achieve set targets
- Drive deposit mobilization and quality loan generation across assigned markets
- Leverage existing portfolio to generate immediate business opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the bank’s customer base
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching to improve productivity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients and stakeholders
- Identify new market opportunities and drive business expansion initiatives
- Ensure proper onboarding, documentation, and compliance with credit policies
- Track and report on individual and team performance against targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- First degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years’ experience in business development within a microfinance bank or financial institution
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Must have an existing and active client portfolio
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management abilities
- Ability to drive both individual and team performance
- Strong understanding of microfinance operations and credit processes.
