BPO Reconciliation Analyst

About the role

  • We are looking for a Reconciliation Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring that our client’s financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This includes reconciling bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. The role is crucial in ensuring that our client’s financial records are accurate and reliable and that any discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

Scope of your responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts (cash, accounts payable/receivable, balance sheet accounts) to ensure accuracy
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies between internal records and external statements, and resolve them on time.
  • Analyze and verify transactions to ensure they are properly recorded and accounted for in the financial statements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of reconciliations, including documentation of discrepancies and resolutions.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and other financial reports as required by management or other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the reconciliation process and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as Accounting, Finance, and Operations, to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
  • Ensure that all reconciliations are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a reconciliation or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Oracle, or any financial systems and processes.
  • Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services.
  • Advanced technical skills, data analytics, and automation tools are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other teams and stakeholders.
