Assistant Warehouse Manager

Role Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced and performance-driven Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in coordinating warehouse operations, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring effective inventory and distribution management.
  • The ideal candidate will play a key role in supervising warehouse activities, driving process improvement, managing staff performance, and ensuring operational targets are achieved in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Warehouse Manager in planning and coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor warehouse workflows, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel, allocate tasks, and monitor team performance to ensure operational goals are met.
  • Implement and maintain warehouse procedures, policies, and operational standards.
  • Analyze inventory movement and warehouse performance data to identify operational improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of stock and proper investigation of variances or damaged goods.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Assist in training and onboarding warehouse staff to improve operational effectiveness and adherence to company procedures.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in preparing operational reports, forecasts, and performance reviews.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5years of experience in warehouse or supply chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory planning, and distribution processes.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage operational priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
