Structural Engineer
Role Description
- This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role located in Lagos. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural systems, preparing detailed construction drawings and technical reports, and ensuring project compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves conducting site inspections, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing technical support throughout project lifecycles. Additional responsibilities include evaluating materials, optimizing design efficiency, and maintaining project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
- Expertise in structural design, analysis, and preparation of technical drawings
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, or related programs
- Thorough knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with clients and multidisciplinary teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional registration with COREN or relevant engineering bodies is highly desirable
- Previous experience in infrastructure projects and familiarity with sustainable building practices is a plus
