Procurement Officer
Job Summary
- The Procurement Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services required for Buckler Systems’ operations.
- The role focuses on sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, managing procurement processes, and supporting operational continuity while maintaining quality, efficiency, and ethical procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and vendors
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and project teams to align procurement activities with technical specifications, budgets, and project timelines
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports
- Track procurement KPIs and prepare periodic reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and purchasing efficiency for management review
- Support audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related fields
- Minimum of 3 years procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
