Partnership and Compliance Lead
Job Description
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporate entities, donors, and other key stakeholders aligned with Gender Mobile Initiative’s mission.
- Support the implementation of partnership and engagement strategies that strengthen organizational visibility, positioning, and funding opportunities.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external partners, donors, and collaborators, fostering strong and professional relationships.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring clear expectations, accountability, and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Represent the organization at stakeholder engagements, conferences, meetings, and collaborative forums where required.
- Monitor and interpret relevant laws, donor regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards to ensure organizational adherence and accountability.
- Develop, review, and support the implementation of compliance policies, frameworks, and procedures across the organization.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments to proactively identify and address compliance gaps and operational risks.
- Support the development and submission of high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and donor applications aligned with organizational priorities.
- Manage donor compliance processes, ensuring timely reporting, proper documentation, and adherence to grant agreements and funding requirements.
- Collaborate with program teams to track project deliverables, outputs, and outcomes linked to donor-funded initiatives.
- Support the development of systems for monitoring and evaluating the impact and effectiveness of partnerships and compliance efforts.
- Prepare regular reports on partnership activities, donor engagement, compliance status, and strategic outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to document and highlight partnership milestones, organizational achievements, and impact stories.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support to staff on partnership management, donor compliance, and organizational policies.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen internal systems, improve operational processes, and enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in partnership development, donor engagement, and compliance management.
- Perform other related duties that support the achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or relevant certification in compliance, partnerships, grant management, or project management is an added advantage.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in partnership management, donor relations, compliance, grant management, or strategic stakeholder engagement within a nonprofit, development, or social impact organization.
- Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements, partnership management, risk management, and organizational governance practices.
- Experience in grant proposal development, donor reporting, and managing institutional partnerships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strategic relationships.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- A proactive mindset, strong sense of accountability, and a demonstrated commitment to social impact and mission-driven work.
