Manager, Inter-Governmental Affairs
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement government relations strategies aligned with company objectives.·
- Build and maintain strong relationships with aviation authorities, regulatory bodies, airport operators, and government agencies.·
- Represent the company in meetings with ministries, regulators, and industry stakeholders as assigned.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting aviation and ground handling operations.·
- Ensure company compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.·
- Support negotiations, submissions, and formal communications with relevant authorities.·
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on public policy and regulatory risks.·
- Lead high-level stakeholder engagement initiatives to support business expansion, new station openings, and contract acquisitions.·
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies to influence policy decisions favorable to the company·
- Establish crisis-response coordination with government agencies.
- Perform other related task.
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, Political Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or aviation sector.
- Ability to anticipate policy changes and plan responses.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks and public policy.
- Excellent networking, negotiation, and communication skills with preference given to candidates who are bilingual, particularly those proficient in Nigerian Languages.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office application (Word, Excel,Powerpoint,Outlook) and administrative systems.
