Overview
- We are recruiting an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to lead quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, packaging materials, utilities, production processes, and finished products consistently meet defined quality and safety standards.
- This role requires a highly analytical and process-driven professional who can implement quality systems, drive compliance, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement across operations.
- Ultimately, you will safeguard product quality, ensure regulatory compliance, eliminate repeat quality issues, and strengthen operational excellence through effective quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control Management: Monitor all raw materials, packaging materials, utilities, PPE, in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards
- Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with NAFDAC, SON, Codex, HACCP, GMP, and internal quality standards
- Process Monitoring & Product Consistency: Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and operational compliance
- Deviation Management & Corrective Actions: Identify quality deviations, non-conformances, and compliance gaps
- Documentation & Quality Systems Management: Maintain accurate quality records, specifications, SOPs, and compliance documentation
- Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and product performance
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the value chain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certifications in Quality Management, Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, or ISO systems are an added advantage
- 4–6 years’ experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Food Safety Management roles
- Proven experience managing quality systems within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience implementing HACCP, GMP, ISO, and regulatory compliance standards
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing CAPA processes
- Experience working in any of the following industries is compulsory: Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Processing, Consumer Goods Manufacturing.
