Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee sales activities in Plateau. The Area Sales Manager will coordinate and execute sales strategies to meet customer needs and drive revenue generation for the area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the execution and implementation of the organization’s sales strategy in the assigned region/area.
- Prepare and implement annual sales budgets for the assigned area.
- Ensure day-to-day activities in the assigned area are aligned with the organization’s objectives.
- Plan, schedule, prioritize, and assign targets and tasks to the sales team.
- Implement approved work programs and plans to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales performance in the assigned area, provide feedback to the National Sales Manager, and develop strategies to improve target performance.
- Identify potential revenue streams and customer needs to maximize revenue for the organization.
- Manage relationships with key customers and accounts in the assigned area.
- Ensure the sales team consistently adheres to standard customer service policies.
- Conduct regular visits to outlets in the area to ensure service levels meet organizational standards and address any performance issues.
- Prepare periodic sales activity, financial, and performance reports for the National Sales Manager.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the National Sales Manager.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Post-graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of ten (10) years relevant sales work experience, 2 years at leadership level

- In-depth understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislation in the Cement Industry.
- Strong understanding of the Northern Nigeria market and business environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of macro and micro environmental trends and their impact on the organization.
- Excellent knowledge of Dangote Group’s product and service offerings.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Conduct regular inspections and patrols of premises to ensure safety and compliance.
- Monitor property entrances, authorizing entry for personnel and vehicles as needed.
- Identify and report suspicious behaviors or incidents promptly.
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows to maintain the integrity of the property.
- Oversee surveillance cameras, ensuring all areas are monitored effectively.
- Respond swiftly to alarms and security incidents, implementing appropriate measures.
- Assist individuals requiring support or guidance on the premises.
- Compile and submit detailed reports of daily surveillance activities and any unusual occurrences.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE certificate with twenty (20+) relevant years of experience in Industrial Security/Government Intelligence Agencies/Army Forces.
- Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Report writing experience with Critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skill.
- Outstanding surveillance and observation skills.
- Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense.
- Team player.
- Good time-management skills.
