End User Device and IT Asset Management
Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive End User Device & IT Asset Management Engineer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining hardware, software, and configuration standards for end-user devices across the organization.
- The engineer will manage laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals across Windows and macOS environments, ensuring security, compliance, and an optimal end-user experience in a modern hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Device Lifecycle & Asset Management
- Manage the provisioning, configuration, deployment, and decommissioning of end-user IT devices.
- Develop and maintain standardized images and deployment workflows for Windows and macOS systems.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records and inventory tracking.
- Manage end-of-life processes, including device retirement and buyback programs.
- Track and manage IT assets using Microsoft Excel and inventory tools.
Endpoint Management
- Administer endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
- Automate device enrolment, software deployment, patching, and compliance policies.
- Establish and enforce endpoint security baselines such as BitLocker encryption, antivirus, and device lock policies.
Security & Compliance
- Collaborate with the security team to enforce endpoint security controls including disk encryption (BitLocker, FileVault), antivirus, EDR, and MFA.
- Support compliance initiatives aligned with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR standards.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to endpoint-related security incidents and vulnerabilities.
User Support & Experience
- Serve as an escalation point for complex device-related incidents and service requests.
- Proactively monitor device performance and address issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
Software & Licensing
- Manage licenses for core productivity tools, including Microsoft 365.
- Ensure software usage complies with licensing and organizational policies.
Project & Continuous Improvement
- Lead or contribute to IT projects such as device refresh initiatives, onboarding automation, and remote work enablement.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve endpoint management, security, and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in end-user device engineering, endpoint management, or a related IT role.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Intune and IT asset tracking using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and basic administration of macOS.
- Familiarity with enterprise security standards and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
