Sales Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead regional sales operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving regional sales performance, managing and developing field teams, strengthening distributor relationships, and ensuring best-in-class market execution in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Sales Leadership: Drive the achievement of monthly regional sales targets by aligning team activities with overall business goals.
- Team Management & Coaching: Lead, supervise, and coach the field team within the assigned region to improve productivity, execution quality, and performance consistency.
- Distributor Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong working relationships with Key Distributors (KDs) to ensure smooth operations, stock availability, and business growth.
- Market Execution Excellence: Ensure effective retail execution across the region, including product availability, visibility, pricing compliance, and adherence to credit and reconciliation policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
- Coaching & Field Development: Conduct frequent field accompaniments and structured coaching sessions to identify capability gaps and strengthen field execution.
- Reporting & Data Analysis: Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, market trends, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve operational issues and escalations within 48 hours to maintain business continuity.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales Target Achievement: 100% achievement of monthly regional sales targets.
- Market Execution Compliance: Maintain at least 95% compliance across execution metrics (availability, visibility, pricing).
- Coaching Effectiveness: Minimum of five structured coaching sessions per field team member monthly.
- Distributor Relationship Health: Zero unresolved distributor escalations beyond the stipulated timeframe.
- Reporting Timeliness: 100% on-time submission of weekly and monthly reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within FMCG.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.
- Proven ability to drive targets and manage distributor relationships.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to work in the field and travel within the assigned region.
