Micro Credit Loan Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and onboard potential clients for microcredit loans.
- Conduct credit appraisals and risk assessments of clients’ businesses and repayment capacity.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all loan applications, approvals, and disbursements.
- Monitor loan utilization and follow up on repayments to ensure portfolio quality.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the credit and recovery teams to manage delinquent accounts.
- Prepare periodic reports on loan performance, client feedback, and portfolio trends.
- Promote the bank’s financial products and services to existing and potential clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in microcredit, loan processing, or related roles (preferably in a Microfinance Bank or financial institution).
- Strong understanding of micro-lending principles, credit analysis, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of local markets and communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
