Laundry Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Laundry Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling customers’ garments and laundry items with care, ensuring proper washing, drying, stain treatment, folding, packaging, and overall fabric maintenance to deliver excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and tag customers’ clothing and laundry items properly
- Inspect garments for stains, damages, or special care instructions before processing
- Wash and dry laundry items according to fabric type and care requirements
- Apply appropriate stain removal techniques where necessary
- Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and laundry safely and efficiently
- Fold, package, and prepare completed laundry items for delivery or customer pickup
- Handle customer garments with care, ensuring cleanliness and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry workspace
- Ensure proper use and storage of detergents, chemicals, and laundry supplies
- Report damaged garments, machine faults, or unusual customer requests to the supervisor immediately
- Follow health, safety, and fabric-care guidelines at all times
- Work efficiently to meet daily turnaround timelines
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry operations or a similar role is an advantage
- Good knowledge of fabric care, washing techniques, and stain treatment
- Ability to operate laundry machines and related equipment
- Ability to work with speed and attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
- Honest, reliable, and punctual
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
