Job Summary
- The Account Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the Finance team in billing, reconciliation, and accounts management.
- The role ensures compliance with financial policies and contributes to efficient revenue management.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, verify, and process financial transactions including payments, receipts, invoices, and journal entries.
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices for services rendered.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Maintain proper financial documentation for audits and reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve account discrepancies.
- Support compliance with hospital financial policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Job Summary
- The Optician is responsible for assisting patients with the selection, fitting, and dispensing of corrective eyewear and visual aids according to prescriptions from Optometrists or Ophthalmologists.
- The role ensures patients receive accurate and high-quality vision correction solutions while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical devices according to prescriptions.
- Advise patients on lens options, frames, and care of eyewear.
- Measure and adjust frames for proper fit and comfort.
- Conduct basic vision tests (e.g., visual acuity screening) if required.
- Maintain accurate records of patients, prescriptions, and sales.
- Assist Optometrists in pre-testing and preparing patients for examinations.
- Ensure optical equipment and stock are well-maintained and inventory is managed.
- Provide patient education on proper eyewear usage and eye care.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Opticianry or related field.
- Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in a clinical or retail optical setting.
- Valid practicing license or certification (if required).
- Good knowledge of lenses, frames, and optical devices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in fitting and dispensing eyewear.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and billing.
