Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technologies, tools and techniques used within the team.
- Ensure that development standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Drive change to implement efficient and effective strategies as advised by management.
- Develop and implement IT standards and procedures to aid in the development of high quality software. Ensure that all Engineers within the team understand and follow existing IT standards.
- Work closely with other team leaders and development teams when necessary.
- Ensure that all software developed within your team satisfies the business requirements as specified.
- Ensure that projects are accurately estimated and delivered to schedule
- Show flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the business.
- Provide overall team guidance and fix all escalations
- Ensure timely delivery of projects and tasks.
- Assign Responsibilities and tasks to staff.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Scrum/Agile or Kanban software development processes
- Proficient in back-end and front end development
- Understanding of front-end technologies and platforms. Understanding in at least one of the following is required: JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Knowledge of platforms and tools, such as ASP.NET MVC 5, C#, sequel serve database, Visual Studio, and Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of source code control tools
- Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that enables the team to fulfil requests within the desired SLA.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment
Qualification & Experience
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
- Must possess relevant professional qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of back-end development experience and at least 8 years general IT experience
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig, Cloudera, or large data warehousing initiatives
- Experience with systems deployed on Unix/Linux/Solaris environments
- Experience in developing applications in Windows based application
- Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems
Desirable
- Experience supporting large-scale or highly regulated financial institution
- Master’s Degree in relevant role/field

- Responsible for establishing a vision and strategy for the Bank’s data and analytics initiatives
- Develops and governs the Bank’s data and information strategy in order to drive organizational decisions and facilitate data sharing amongst various business teams.
- Develops data procedures and policies, and work closely with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect and analyze data assets while ensuring that the company meets industry best practices
- Improves and streamline data systems within the organization, and drive innovation in the area of enterprise-wide data and analytics
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the corporate data systems Product Manager. Drive the strategy, development and deployment of the Bank’s data systems as well as a roadmap for its future development that aligns with the corporate strategy and business needs.
- Continuously assess and recommend enhancements to the Bank’s data architecture and underlying IT infrastructure to ensure data is economically captured, stored, secured, available and usable by appropriate parties throughout the business
- Direct prioritization, resourcing, and delivery of data initiatives across businesses and functions including but not limited to: Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Analytics, and Data Architecture.
- Define, manage and advance enterprise principles, policies and programs for stewardship, advocacy and custodianship of data and analytics.
- Responsible and accountable for the organization and implementation of data governance
- Establish Data Management goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
- Champion data and analytics value creation and governance as strategic disciplines.
- Partner with SBUs to design data analytics projects and develop specific analytical and data science capabilities to achieve organizational goals and operational improvements while enabling and nurturing data-driven decision making.
- Drive adoption of data management culture and related competencies as well as data literacy across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with analysts to facilitate the development and application of advanced analytic strategies and tactics
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and moderate proficiency in R, Python (scikit learn, pandas, numpy, Jupyter etc.) SAS, SQL, MATLAB, C/C++
- Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Gradient Boosted Trees, CNN, RNN LSTM, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools ex Tableau, Shiny
- Knowledge of the BI/DW lifecycle components including Source Data Analysis, ETL, ODS, Data Marts, and Data Mining.
- Expertise with ETL applications like SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage, etc.
- Results-oriented leader with a proven track record of leading a data transformation initiative.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with best in class data strategy design.
- Proven data literacy – ability to describe business use case/outcomes, data sources and management concepts.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the abilities to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, explain business concepts to technologists and “sell” ideas and processes internally at all levels.
- Highly organized and experienced in leading/managing complex projects, initiatives and development
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of advanced statistical analysis and mathematical modeling concepts and principles.
