Job Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically fit Warehouse Store Assistant to support inventory and warehouse operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The role involves receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality
  • Unload, sort, label, and store products in designated locations
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to company standards
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or system-based)
  • Conduct routine stock counts and assist in periodic stocktaking
  • Monitor stock levels and report damages, shortages, or discrepancies
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to prevent expiry or wastage
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scanners)
  • Follow all health, safety, and company procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an OND in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Accountingwith 1-2 years experience.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and stock control
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Method of Application

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of all utility systems including boilers, compressors, chillers, generators, water treatment plants, and HVAC systems.
  • Ensure continuous and efficient supply of utilities to support production activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of technicians and operators.
  • Troubleshoot utility-related issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of utility consumption, maintenance activities, and system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and cost reduction strategies.
  • Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: HND in Mechanical Engineering or any related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in utility operations within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial utility systems (steam, compressed air, water systems, refrigeration, power generation).
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning and execution.
  • Good leadership and team management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems is an advantage.
