Purpose
- To prepare, paint, and finish trucks, equipment, and components using spray-painting techniques, ensuring high-quality protective and decorative coatings that enhance appearance, durability, and longevity.
The Job
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, and smoothing imperfections.
- Mix paints and colors accurately to achieve the required finish and specifications.
- Apply masking tape and protective coverings to areas that should not be painted.
- Select and install the appropriate spray nozzles and equipment to achieve desired spray patterns and coating quality.
- Apply primer, paint, and protective coatings using spray-painting equipment.
- Remove rust, old paint, and other contaminants using appropriate tools and materials.
- Inspect painted surfaces after drying to ensure quality standards, color consistency, and smooth finishes.
- Perform touch-ups and corrective painting work where required.
- Maintain spray-painting equipment, tools, filters, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Comply with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations while using paints, chemicals, and spray equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) O’ Level credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in spray painting, preferably within a truck, automotive, fleet maintenance, or industrial workshop environment.
The Person Must:
- Possess strong spray-painting and surface preparation skills with attention to detail.
- Have good knowledge of paint mixing, color matching, and coating application techniques.
- Be able to work safely with chemicals, paints, and spray equipment in a workshop environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality finishes within specified timelines.

Method of Application
Purpose
- To carry out welding, fabrication, and metal construction works on trucks, trailers, and related fleet equipment, ensuring safe, durable, and high-quality repairs that support operational efficiency and vehicle reliability.
The Job
- Perform welding repairs on cracked, damaged, or worn truck and trailer bodies.
- Carry out fabrication and metal construction works for fleet vehicles and workshop requirements.
- Execute aluminum welding repairs and modifications as required.
- Perform Arc, MIG, and other welding techniques to industry standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications for fabrication and repair work.
- Inspect welded structures and components to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with safety standards.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using appropriate workshop tools and equipment.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures while carrying out welding activities.
- Collaborate with mechanics, fleet officers, and workshop personnel to ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance jobs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) O’ Level credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Welder in a fleet, automotive, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in truck, trailer, and heavy-duty equipment welding and fabrication will be an added advantage.
The Person Must:
- Possess strong welding and fabrication skills with experience in Arc, MIG, and aluminium welding.
- Demonstrate the ability to read technical drawings and work accurately to specifications.
- Have a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Be physically fit and capable of working in a demanding workshop environment.
