Role Overview

  • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to support and manage key human resource functions within our clinic.
  • The ideal candidate will play a critical role in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture in a highly sensitive healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes (sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding)
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
  • Support payroll administration and staff benefits coordination
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and healthcare regulations
  • Develop and implement HR policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Coordinate staff training and development programs
  • Monitor staff performance and support appraisal processes
  • Promote a professional, ethical, and confidential work environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–4 years proven experience in an HR role (healthcare experience is an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Membership or certification with CIPM is an added advantage

Job Summary

  • As the operational leader, the GM/COO will ensure seamless day-to-day excellence across all departments so that every patient and staff member experiences Charitos BO Hospital’s mission of compassionate, high-quality, patient-prioritised care.
  • This role safeguards the hospital’s reputation as a Centre of Excellence in fertility and maternal health while driving operational efficiency, quality standards, and sustainable expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all clinical and non-clinical operations (fertility, obstetrics, paediatrics, lab, pharmacy, and admin) to guarantee “human touch” service delivery.
  • Implement and monitor policies that uphold compassion, excellence, respect, confidentiality, and international best practices.
  • Lead budget planning, resource allocation, revenue optimisation, and cost control while never compromising patient safety or care quality.
  • Champion continuous quality improvement, ISO readiness, and patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Foster a positive, values-driven culture where staff live the motto “We always care…”
  • Manage regulatory compliance (NAFDAC, MDCN, PCN, etc.) and risk mitigation.
  • Drive strategic projects (new service lines, facility upgrades, digital transformation) in alignment with the founding principle of the highest standard of health for all.
  • Act as key liaison between clinical, administrative, and business teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Hospital/Health Administration, MBA, or equivalent (MBBS + management qualification is a strong plus).
  • 3 – 5 years in senior hospital operations, with at least 4 years at the GM/COO level in a multi-specialty or fertility-focused facility in Nigeria.
  • Proven track record in fertility/maternal hospital operations preferred.
