School Nurse
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate care and first aid to students and staff in case of illness or injury.
- Conduct routine health checks
- Manage and administer prescribed medications to students in line with the Medical Director’s approval
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
- Monitor and manage peculiar health conditions such as asthma, etc.
- Implement medical workshops and talks as approved by management.
- Identify and address potential health and safety hazards within the school environment.
- Liaise with the Medical Director and school Management on matters concerning student health.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related fields
- 1–2 years of post-qualification nursing experience (experience in pediatric, community, or school health settings is an advantage).
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and adolescents.
- Empathy, patience, and ability to work with children and adolescents.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
