Electrical Technician

Job description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in a water production facility.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Diagnose faults and perform timely repairs to reduce downtime
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery
  • Maintain motors, pumps, generators, and control panels
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Monitor production equipment for optimal performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
  • Support production team with technical electrical issues
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Education

  • OND / HND / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field

Experience

  • 2–5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in water factory or bottling plant is an advantage
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices
  • Ability to follow workplace safety regulations and procedures

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults
  • Familiarity with pumps, motors, and generators
  • Basic knowledge of PLC systems (added advantage)
  • Ability to read technical diagrams
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including production, sales, finance, and administration, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant and business units
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals
  • Drive production efficiency, quality control, and cost optimization
  • Supervise and coordinate departments including production, sales, finance, and HR
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry requirements
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets, and profitability
  • Lead business development and market expansion initiatives
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources (human, material, and financial)
  • Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Provide leadership, direction, and performance management for staff.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • MBA, Master’s Degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE standards and industrial safety practices
  • Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory requirements (e.g., SON, NESREA)
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
