- The Head of Cybersecurity at AET is a deeply technical leadership role responsible for driving the design, architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity solutions across the organization’s portfolio. The role requires advanced hands-on expertise in securing enterprise environments, identifying vulnerabilities, and proactively mitigating cyber threats across software, hardware, and network infrastructure.
- The role holder will lead end-to-end technical engagements, including solution architecture, advanced threat analysis, and the deployment of cybersecurity frameworks that align with global best practices. They will take ownership of complex technical presales activities such as proof of concepts (PoCs), solution design, and technical proposal development, ensuring that all solutions are robust, scalable, and tailored to client-specific risk environments. In addition, the Head of Cybersecurity will provide technical oversight for implementation and post-deployment optimization of security solutions, ensuring resilience against evolving threats. The role demands strong expertise in security technologies, including SIEM and network security platforms such as QRadar and Palo Alto, alongside the ability to lead and mentor a high-performing technical team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop unique, effective security strategies for client software systems, networks, data centers, and hardware aimed at enhancing their current security situation, evaluating trends and anticipating current/future requirements
- Leads the process of identifying client security violations, inefficiencies and conducting of periodic security audits
- Design and implement/build-in security systems to software, hardware, and components for clients
- Develop and implement a sales and implementation structure for all existing and potential Cybersecurity solutions in ActivEdge’s portfolio. Research and identify new solutions that will meet the cost and business objectives of clients
- Lead the provision of technical analysis of all products and solution pricing to ensure profitability on deals – Present these findings regularly to the CEO and at Management and Board meetings as may be necessary from time to time
- Lead pre-sales engagement and technical presentations/workshops to generate sales and secure renewals
- Lead business analysis and requirements establishment for clients with a clear focus on identifying customer requirements for all engagements using appropriate techniques.
- Ensure that all documentation for RFP’s and general project proposals are provided in a timely manner that ensures customer satisfaction.
- Manage all Cybersecurity projects with a view to achieving a 100% implementation success rate.
- Project manage all proof of concept (PoC) assignments, leading the technical and sales teams to develop and conduct briefing, communication of commitments, expectations, customer requirements
- Full responsibility for achievement of all revenue targets and provision of the Cybersecurity team with mentorship during sales, presales, customer presentations and solution demonstrations.
- Work closely with partner OEMs to increase market visibility by facilitating joint customer engagements using multiple channels.
- Project manage specific events aimed at enhancing ActivEdge’s image and projecting solutions and engaging our current and potential clients
- Develop a pipeline of potential and current sales with identification of opportunity size and scale in different client organizations
- Responsible for staying abreast of current developments in existing products as well as new potential products and contributing to refining ActivEdge’s strategy
- Mentoring and developing the Cybersecurity team and constantly ensuring that a succession plan has been put in place for all key roles and functions in the Cybersecurity team

Competency and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field
- Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in IT and Cybersecurity, with at least 5–7 years in a senior or leadership role
- Strong IT expertise across hardware, software, cloud computing, networks, and data center environments
- Proven experience across the full solution lifecycle, including technical presales, solution architecture, implementation, and service delivery
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience implementing and managing security solutions such as SIEM, IAM, NAC, Vulnerability Management, Firewall Administration, Endpoint Security, and Antivirus platforms
- Deep knowledge of software development, Identity & Access Management, web services, system integration, network and system security, server administration, auditing, IT security governance, and global standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001
- Advanced cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CASP, or SANS (GIAC/GCIA/GCIH) and SIEM-specific certifications
- Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, OSI model, traffic flow, and layered security architecture (defense-in-depth)
- Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g., NetFlow), and attack artifacts for incident response and threat hunting
- Familiarity with vulnerability management frameworks and programs (e.g., DoD Information Assurance VM)
- Proficiency with security tools including Anti-Virus, HIPS, IDS/IPS, Full Packet Capture, Host-Based and Network Forensics tools
- In-depth experience with enterprise SIEM platforms such as QRadar, ArcSight, Splunk, or LogLogic
- Experience in developing detection rules, signatures, and use cases for threat monitoring
- Understanding of mobile OS (Android, iOS, Windows), virtualization (VMware), and Unix/Linux environments
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and adversarial mindset (ability to think like an attacker)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

- The Enterprise Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic enterprise accounts, driving revenue growth, strengthening executive relationships, and positioning the organisation as a trusted technology partner. The role requires a consultative, solution-led sales approach focused on long-term value creation, customer retention, and expansion within assigned enterprise portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management
- Own and manage a portfolio of enterprise and high-value strategic accounts.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with revenue and growth targets.

- Pan-African or multi-regional exposure is an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian enterprise market and B2B technology sales landscape.
- Proven executive-level network within the Nigerian business community.

- Experience managing long sales cycles and complex procurement environments.
