Factory Worker

Role Summary

The factory worker is responsible for assisting in the daily production, assembly, and packaging of goods within a manufacturing plant. The role focuses on operating basic machinery, sorting products, maintaining quality standards, and following all safety guidelines on the factory floor.

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate factory machinery, tools, and production equipment safely after proper training.
  • Assemble, sort, pack, and label products according to production guidelines.
  • Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and report any defects to the supervisor.
  • Feed raw materials into production machinery and monitor the process.
  • Load and unload materials from delivery trucks or storage areas.
  • Clean and maintain the workspace, machinery, and tools before and after shifts.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene rules, including wearing proper protective gear (PPE).
  • Meet daily production targets and quotas set by the supervisor.
  • Report any mechanical faults or safety hazards immediately.

Requirements:  

  • Minimum secondary school education; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow spoken and written instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • High level of discipline, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Work Environment & Requirements :

  • Industrial factory floor environment, which can be noisy or dusty.

  • Flexibility to work shift rotations, including day, night, and weekend shifts.

  • Meeting or exceeding daily production and packaging targets.
  • Consistent adherence to all factory safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Low error or defect rates in assigned production tasks.
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance for all scheduled shifts.
