Facility Officer
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance:
- Oversee daily maintenance of church buildings, offices, worship auditorium, halls, and external premises.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical systems, plumbing, air conditioning, lighting, sound systems, and generators.
- Supervise inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules
- Maintain high cleanliness standards across all facilities.
Asset & Equipment Management:
- Maintain an updated inventory of church assets, furniture, and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and maintenance of equipment.
- Coordinate setup and dismantling of facilities for services and special events.
Health, Safety & Security:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Implement emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
- Supervise security operations and monitor access control.
- Identify and address safety risks promptly.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Source and supervise vendors, artisans, and maintenance contractors.
- Manage service contracts (utilities, waste disposal, fumigation, equipment servicing).
- Ensure quality service delivery within approved budgets and timelines.
Administration & Budgeting:
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, warranties, and contracts.
- Prepare facility-related reports for church leadership.
- Assist in annual budgeting and cost control for facility operations.
- Recommend cost-saving and energy-efficiency initiatives.
Event & Staff Coordination:
- Support church services, conferences, and special programs.
- Supervise cleaners, technicians, and facility personnel.
- Coordinate duty rosters and monitor staff performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: HND/Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in facility, property, or operations management.
- Experience in a church, nonprofit, or large organization is an added advantage
Skills:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.Basic technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
- Ability to manage vendors, staff, and multiple tasks effectively.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- The ability to drive will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Work Conditions:
- Based in church premises in Lagos.
