Community Mobilizer
Location: KAGA LGA
Job Purpose
The Community Mobilizer handles engaging, sensitizing, and mobilizing community members to participate in project activities, ensuring effective communication between the organization and the community.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement and Mobilization
- Mobilize community members for project activities, trainings, and awareness sessions.
- Conduct sensitization and outreach campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
Awareness and Information Sharing
- Deliver key messages on project objectives, services, and activities.
- Support dissemination of IEC (Information, Education, Communication) materials.
- Raise awareness on protection, health, or other thematic areas.
Beneficiary Identification and Support
- Support identification and registration of beneficiaries.
- Assist in organizing community meetings and events.
- Ensure inclusion of vulnerable groups.
Feedback and Accountability
- Collect and document community feedback and complaints.
- Support implementation of feedback and complaint response mechanisms (FCRM)
- Report community concerns to the relevant team.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain records of community activities and attendance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Document success stories and challenges.
Coordination and Teamwork
- Work closely with program staff and field teams.
- Coordinate with local authorities and partners.
- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions.
Protection and Safeguarding
- Promote safe, respectful, and inclusive engagement.
- Adhere to PSEA, safeguarding, and protection policies.
- Report any protection concerns immediately.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of OND/NCE or bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field
- Experience in community-based work or humanitarian programs
- Knowledge of local language(s) and context is an advantage.

- Good facilitation and mobilization skills
- Basic report writing and documentation skills.
- High level of integrity and respect for community values
