Vocational Trainer – SDGs, Climate Change & Solar Installation
Description
- We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Vocational Trainer to deliver impactful training programs on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Climate Change, and Basic Solar Installation to individuals and communities nationwide.
- This is a contract role requiring willingness to travel across Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging training sessions on SDGs, climate change awareness, and basic solar installation
- Develop and adapt training materials to suit diverse community audiences
- Travel to communities, schools, and partner locations across Nigeria to deliver programs
- Track and report on participant progress and training outcomes
- Support the team in designing new curriculum and program improvements
- Represent Solardero Foundation professionally in all community engagements
Skills & Requirements
- Education: HND or equivalent; a background in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Education, or related field is an added advantage
- Experience: 2–5 years in training, facilitation, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate change concepts
- Basic understanding of solar energy systems and installation
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience in community training, adult education, or vocational instruction
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Nigeria
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and mission-driven
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local Nigerian languages is an advantage.
Remuneration
Competitive contract rate, based on experience.
