Vendor Manager

Job Summary

  • The Vendor Manager is responsible for sourcing, onboarding, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services at competitive prices.
  • The role focuses on performance management, contract compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, service-level agreements (SLAs), and payment terms
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and performance
  • Monitor vendor performance using agreed KPIs and resolve issues promptly
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Finance, Procurement, Projects, Customer Service) to align vendor activities with business needs
  • Ensure vendors comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
  • Review invoices, confirm deliveries, and support timely vendor payments
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, contracts, and documentation
  • Manage vendor risks and develop contingency plans
  • Conduct periodic vendor reviews and recommend improvements or replacements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management abilities
  • Good understanding of vendor sourcing, pricing, and performance metrics
  • Proficiency in MS Office and vendor/procurement management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
