Technical Procurement Manager
Job Summary
- They are seeking a Technical Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supply chain execution for high-performance engineering projects.
- This is not a routine procurement role. It requires deep technical understanding, commercial sharpness, and strategic supplier leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for telematics hardware & systems
- Lead technical sourcing of sensors, modules, connectivity solutions & engineering components
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and SLAs with suppliers
- Drive measurable procurement savings
- Manage supplier performance and reduce defect rates
- Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity plans
- Align procurement timelines with project delivery goals
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate standards
- Monitor market trends in IoT, automotive, and telematics technologies
Requirements
- 5+ years’ procurement experience within engineering, telematics, IoT, or automotive sectors
- Strong understanding of telecommunications, electronics, or telematics systems
- Proven experience negotiating high-value technical contracts
- Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of supplier management and contract law
- Experience in driving procurement savings and reducing emergency purchases
- Professional certifications (CIPSMN, NIPSM, or similar) are an added advantage.
