Job Summary
- The SRH Research Officer will support the design, implementation, and dissemination of research, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities related to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) programs.
- The role ensures that high-quality data is generated, analyzed, and used to improve program effectiveness, inform decision-making, and contribute to evidence-based SRH interventions.
- Support the design and implementation of SRH research studies, including baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Contribute to the development of research protocols, data collection tools, and ethical approval documentation
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection related to SRH outcomes
- Support operational research and learning initiatives to strengthen SRH programming
- Ensure research activities comply with ethical standards, safeguarding, and confidentiality requirements
- Support the development and implementation of MEAL frameworks, indicator tracking tools, and data collection systems for SRH programs.
- Monitor progress against SRH program indicators and logframes
- Conduct routine data quality assessments (DQAs)
- Support evaluations and learning reviews of SRH interventions
- Support the implementation of accountability mechanisms, including community feedback and complaint response systems
- Analyze MEAL and research data to generate actionable insights and lessons learned
- Contribute to learning products such as reports, briefs, presentations, and dashboards
- Support dissemination of research findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Promote a culture of evidence-based learning within SRH programs
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of MEAL and research findings
- Support capacity building of field staff on data collection tools and MEAL processes
- Coordinate with partners, consultants, and stakeholders involved in SRH research and MEAL
