Solutions and Research Engineer
- We’re looking for a Solutions & Research Engineer who is passionate about network reliability, customer experience, and innovative engineering solutions.
- This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across network operations, research, system design, and customer-facing technical support, while contributing to next-generation FTTH and IP network solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Restore and manage service incidents for retail and corporate customers
- Design, test, and implement network and system solutions
- Monitor and optimize network performance, uptime, and MTTR
- Support FTTH infrastructure, OSP/ISP audits, and network documentation
- Execute preventive maintenance and improve service reliability
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams on solution delivery
- Research and apply new technologies that improve ipNX products and services
What you bring:
- BEng in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, or related field (minimum 2.1 or Uppercredit)
- CCNA required (CCNP and other certifications are a strong advantage)
- 3+ years’ experience in FTTH / ISP / Telecom network environments
- Strong LAN/WAN design, routing, and troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and stakeholders
- Curiosity for research, innovation, and emerging technologies
