JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installation Officer with at least 1-year experience in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards.
• Interpret and implement solar system designs and schematics.
• Conduct on-site assessments to determine system requirements and installation feasibility.
• Coordinate with project engineers, electricians, and contractors to ensure timely and accurate installations.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on PV systems as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, materials used, and service activities.
• Provide client support and education on system operations and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in solar PV installation or a related renewable energy field.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven understanding of solar PV system components, wiring, and safety standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and testing instruments used in solar installations.
• Experience with hybrid systems, battery storage, or solar water heating systems.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP, PV Installation Professional, etc.) is an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in various outdoor conditions.
